For reference, I am 5'10, and my dog is a medium/medium+ dog. I bought this because my dog has mild leash reactivity and I needed a way to reel her in when we pass by other dogs. For our respective heights, this product is spectacular! She has very little slack, but the leash isn't so short that I'm lifting her off the ground. I've only had the quick grip for a couple months, but so far it's endured a variety of terrain and weather without so much as a scuff mark. The grip itself is also really comfortable, so I don't get any sort of fabric burn if my dog pulls unexpectedly. I imagine the size without extension might be a problem for taller owners and/or smaller dogs, but for across-the-board average size it's perfect.
